A Brazilian Wax removes all of the hair from the bikini area from front to back. The client can choose to leave either a landing strip or a triangle in the front, but all of the rest of the hair is removed. So obviously, there are a few different positions that clients need to take in order to get everything. This wax is definitely the most intimate service any woman can have performed, and so with that in mind, I've developed my own technique with the clients dignity and respect for the client in mind.
There are several positions you'll take during your Brazilian Wax, but being on all fours isn't and shouldn't be one of them!!! The fact is that it's unnecessary and there's no need to make any woman get on all fours. I simply have my clients bring a leg up to their chest for both sides, and then the client just lays on her belly. It's the quickest, easiest way to get the very back of the tush area. I can't count how many times I have a client in the treatment room and I see the look of fear in her eyes- I always know that it's most likely due to what she's afraid is about to happen. As soon as I tell her that she doesn't need to be on all fours, all of the anxiety is gone!
One of the reasons that I ask everyone to come in as ready as possible (by following my pre wax prep) is so that we can move through all of the different positions as quickly as possible, and with as little pain as possible. I want the wax to end with you turning to me in disbelief and telling me that you can't believe it's over, and how it really wasn't as painful as you expected it to be. Your wax is only as painful as the prep you didn't do!
