Reiki Does A Body Good

Have you ever wondered what exactly Reiki is and why it's becoming more and more popular? Everyone can benefit from it, and each persons experience with it is different...so let's start with the basics- what is it, who can benefit, and who does it?

Reiki Energy exists in the universe waiting to be sent through a Reiki Practitioner who has been attuned at different levels to act as a conduit. The amazing thing about it is that it can be used to treat both physical and emotional issues, and the attunement of the practitioner determines how powerfully and efficiently the Reiki is going to work. The other amazing thing about it is that it can also be used to change the energy of a room or object. I regularly clear out my shop using sage and then I infuse the space with Reiki- clients coming in often say that the shop itself feels like a cocoon. A safe space.

During a Reiki session, the recipient is fully clothed and made comfortable on the treatment table. I always make sure to have either a blanket or sheet available, and a rose quartz eye mask to add a little extra to the experience. Before the client has arrived, I've freshly cleared the room using sage and Florida Water, & I've also asked that our Guides and Angels be present to offer their protection and guidance. Candles light the space, healing music plays softly in the background, and we begin by taking three deep breaths....

I prefer to do our first session completely hands free, holding my hands a few centimeters above your body, and the reason is simple- I want you to understand how powerful Reiki is. Each client experiences something different, but there will be some kind of heat, coolness, tingling, or pressure where a block is being forced out. You may also experience intense waves of emotion, and feel the need to cry. Trauma is held in the body, and it can sometimes linger, stuck in your muscles for years until Reiki forces it up and out. I tell clients to just let it happen, if you need to cry you cry. If you need to shake-you shake. Let the healing happen and subside, so that it's dealt with once and for all.

During your session, I scan over you with my hands, and when I feel an energy block, I'll stop and let the Reiki flowing through me do what it needs to do. I start at your head and work my way around and end back at the Crown Chakra. Sometimes I'm called back to different areas to work a little longer- there are definitely some blocks that don't want to be forced out. You may also notice that sometimes I may have moved on to a different area of the body but the Reiki is still working in a different spot & you'll feel pressure or a tingling when I'm nowhere near it!

A chime will sound to alert you to the end of our session, and I thank our Guides and Angels for coming forward and ask that they continue to protect and guide us. I'll also command the Reiki to continue to work after I've finished the session so that you're blocks can be fully removed and you'll be healed completely.

If you've ever done Yoga or been a runner and experienced a Yoga or Runners high, you'll recognize the feeling after your session. A deep calm, and a feeling of clarity is what most people tell me they feel. They feel AMAZING. It can be an intensely emotional experience, and you'll also be more open to receiving messages from your Guides that night in your sleep. It's a good idea to keep a journal by your bedside to jot down whatever you remember when you wake up that next morning.

Most commonly, people come in to deal with anxiety and depression. It's a wonderful tool to have in your wheel house, but it can also be used to help physical ailments as well. Personally I've used it to help with my arthritis, sciatica, insomnia, and muscular pain too. I've also used it on animals and infants. There are literally no bounds when it comes to using it, and I love how versatile it is.

Book your session now -you'll thank me when you do!
